Seduced by cinema, its visual and romantic narratives, Pierre studied film at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he focused on cinematography and directing. Pierre looks for the vulnerable nature of subjects, made out of flaws, beauty and contradictions; the work thus aims to explore and oppose idealistic and more psychologically acute narratives, or encapsulate both. He has been working with NGOs and activists for the last 7 years, documenting their battles for a fair ecological transition. Once he joined Hans Lucas press agency as a member in 2021, his work gained recognition with numerous international publications (Le Monde, Courrier International, Time Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Der Greif…) He has won the MIFAC Prix Spécial du Jury in 2023 for a short series of films he co-directed and has been working on the environmental impacts of climate change for European television, filming tv programs for France 2, Arte or ZDF.
